THE WISH BOOK

As the wind whisks up the lightly fallen snow and the home is beginning to look alot like Christmas, I settle in to a soft chair, a cup of Joy Tea, from Starbucks, of course and the mail

But what should appear before me

Tiffany Co. Christmas Book
Just the joy of its arrival brought back so many memories..
Waiting patiently, as a young girl, for the Sears Wish Book to arrive

Knowing that when the mailman brought it, there would be..
Hours of picking your favorite toy from each page
Laying in front of a fire and making lists
Knowing that maybe, just maybe I would get one thing
from list.

I even picked out things for others.. just so I could keep it longer.

Funny How still today in this tech age..
Ipads, Smart phones and even blogs
It is one of the seasons greatest anticipations.
The Christmas Catalogs
Knowing , that it is not about recieving anything
but it is about the Dream, The wish , the glow in your eyes .

Maybe Just Maybe - You'll find that special gift
that will warm someone else heart.
I hope I never stop believing.. Never stop hearing the chime of the bell
In the rush of the Season
In the bustle of friends and family
Take a moment
Open a catalog
And Dream-

Do you Hear the BELL
Christmas is about so much more
But start by Believing..

WIND BENEATH MY WINGS

Ever have one of those days where you wake up missing someone that has been in your life.
You reflect on your friendship with them and you smile.
Today is one of those days when I woke up and you were on my mind.

Amazing people have walked into my life and left their footprint.
The fabulous five women whom have laughed, cried, shared
and cared for each other for the last 15 years.
A sisterhood that distance will never divide.

Friends that were so important to me but life led us in another direction.
First loves and best friends . As I take time to quiet my mind,
to reflect on the shear laughter and bond that we created, it makes my heart smile.
Even after all these years , a warm hug and hours of conversation abound when we meet.
I still get so excited to just see them and know that we began where we left off.
Not as" NEW friends But KNEW "Friends.

I cherish that fact that I get the chance to laugh with them.
Share a hug and catch up.
Friends come and go but those who stay are truely
"The wind beneath my wings."
